Szymon is a partner at Business & Innovation Consulting Team in Crido Taxand. He has years of hands-on experience in counseling Polish medium- and large-sized businesses as well as international corporations, and his major specialization is supporting companies in the implementation of projects in respect of devising and introducing innovations, with special focus on securing different forms of funding from diverse sources (subsidies / financial instruments, EU / domestic funds and international programmes), developing business plans, molding innovation strategies and research agendas.
Szymon navigates our clients through intricacies of creating investment vehicles, such as venture capital or CVC funds, and obtaining funding for their operations. The pool of Szymon’s projects generated the total funding of nearly PLN 2 billion, including PLN 1 billion for innovation development and implementation.
Szymon also supervises our Financial Modelling and Valuation Team.
Szymon has been with us here at Crido Taxand since 2005, and in 2013 he was promoted to the position of partner at Business & Innovation Consulting Team.
Prior to the start of his career at Crido Taxand, he worked in Biuro Rozliczeń Międzynarodowych (International Clearance Office) and European Advisory Department at Ernst&Young.
Szymon graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics with a double major in International Economics and Quantitative Methods and Information Systems. He was a scholarship holder at the Linköping University, Sweden, and completed postgraduate studies in corporate finance management at the Warsaw School of Economics.
He has contributed to numerous reports, analyses and publications on state aid and EU funds prepared with cooperation of Harvard Business Review and PAIiIZ (Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, currently operating as PAIH – Polish Investment and Trade Agency). Szymon co-edited “EU Funds in 2014-2020: New Perspective – New Opportunities”, publication by C.H. Beck publishing house.
